Introduction to Charles Fox
Dr Charles Fox is an Academic Fellow at the University of Leeds and Director of Ibex Automation Ltd. He studied Computer Science at Cambridge, obtained his DPhil from the Robotics Research Group, Oxford, worked as a London high-frequency hedge fund trader, He has published 50 papers on robotics, artificial intelligence and pattern recognition.
Abstract:
Dr Charles Fox led the Innovate UK Agri-tech IBEX2 autonomous robot weed spraying project. This talk will present an overview of Ibex control and machine vision robotic systems and suggest ideas for future agri-systems based around them, including crop and animal monitoring and manipulation and supply chain monitoring and assurance.
