Prof. Song has co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, including Nature, Nature Nano, Nature Chemistry, Nature Communication, PNAS, JACS, et al. Prof. Song’s current research focuses on medical instrument development, high resolution dynamic imaging, single cell manipulation, and DNA nanotech for biomedical application.
Abstract:
To meet the challenges of understanding the world at nanoscale, exploring the function of nanotools is necessary. In this talk, nanotools, particularly AFM and TEM, will be introduced with related different applications. Then several case studies will present in detail. As main part of molecular machine awarded as 2016 Nobel Chemistry Prize, DNA nanotechnology will be discussed as a main part. Last, electron transfer of filamentous bacteria will also be discussed along with the advanced function of TEM.
